Damien Mitchell, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Mitchell joined Forest Lane Pediatrics after completing his pediatric residency and Chief Resident year at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City, OK.
Dr. Mitchell is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as a member of the Texas Medical Association, Dallas Medical Society, and the Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas. He is also a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Mitchell lives in Dallas with his wife, Keri, and daughter, Elliana. He enjoys taking care of children from birth through adolescence, and would consider it an honor to care for your child.
When asked why he became a pediatrician, Dr. Mitchell responded by saying: I love children, I love helping people, and I love medicine and science, so being a pediatrician was a natural fit for me. The wonderful thing about being a pediatrician is that I get to participate in the joy, hope and excitement that accompany the birth of a child, as well as all of the milestones that lie ahead for that child. Along with all of those hopes and dreams come a lot of stress and uncertainty, but being able to help a family through the tough times is the thing I enjoy most. The opportunity to participate in the life of a child and make sure that he or she goes through life healthy and able to reach his or her full potential is the reason I became a pediatrician. |
