No Fluoride in University Park

Almost every municipal water supply in this area contains the right amount of fluoride, so if your child gets 6-8 ounces of regular tap water per day, they are doing fine.  University Park is the only exception -- no fluoride in UP.  I guess they can afford the trips to the dentist!

I told my friend, who lives in UP, about the no floride in the water. She did some research online and found the following information:

"BTW on the UP water issue - our water is treated with fluoride. The UP consumer reports state a level of .4 ppm with a minuim of .4 ppm allowed. Dallas was .56 ppm last year with a minuim of .22 allowed. So Dallas can have less fluoride than UP. I'm glad, thought I was going to have to buy that special baby water with added fluoride :)"

She told me she found all the water report on the City of Highland Park and City of Dallas websites.
