Colic Solved?

Everyone who has had a fussy, "colicky" baby knows how miserable it can be for both the child and the family.  The term "colic" has historically been used to describe babies who have excessive fussiness in the first few months of life.  In recent years, it has become clear that 60-70% of babies with colic actually have a treatable digestive condition such as gastroesophageal reflux or milk-protein intolerance.  Our focus at Forest Lane Pediatrics has been to identify these treatable conditions, and I find that we can help most colicky babies feel significantly better.  Dr. Bryan Vartabedian at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston has written a book, Colic Solved, that describes the latest thinking about colic as a treatable condition.  The book describes nicely the wide range of normal and abnormal infant tummy troubles.  If you have an excessively fussy baby, please call us - we would like to help!

Hi Dr. Straughn...I believe I asked at our last appt if you'd heard of the Amby Baby Bed which is supposed to help greatly with GERD and irritable sleepers. Any chance that came up in this book?
